2U Rackmount Network System Supports Intel Xeon, Core i7 And Up To 32 x GbE LAN

North Andover, MA - WIN Enterprises, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of embedded controllers and platforms for OEMs, announces the PL-80160, a 2U network services platform. Built with Intel embedded components, the PL-80160 supports Intel Xeon Core i7, Core i5, Core i3, and Pentium Dual Core processors.

PL-80160 supports four unbuffered ECC or non-ECC DDR3 1066/1333MHz DIMM sockets with memory up to 16GB. Storage interfaces include one 3.5" SATA HDD and CompactFlash™. An optional onboard Cavium Nitrox PX cn16xx security co-processor supports multi-security protocol commands. The platform has 8 to a maximum of 32 GbE Ethernet LAN ports via PCI-E by8 accessible on the front-panel. To prevent network problems if the platform shuts down, PL 80160 supports two segments of LAN bypass function through WDT and GPIO pin definitions.

Also accessible from the front panel is a dual USB 2.0 port, a RJ-45 console port, and LED indicators that monitor power and storage device activities. The PL-80160 supports one PCI-E by8 slot, one PCI-E by8 Golden Fingers connector and one PCI slot. The unit is RoHS, FCC and CE compliant.
