Andrea Electronics Launches USB Far-Field Array Microphone at Intel Developer Forum

Andrea Electronics Corporationtronics Corporation announced today at the Intel Developer Forum that the Company is shipping its Universal Serial Bus (USB) Array Microphone. The Andrea USB Microphone Array incorporates Andrea Electronics Corporationtronics' digital, speech enhancement software technologies, including patented Digital Super Directional Array (DSDA) as well as PureAudio algorithms, enabling PC users to operate speech-driven applications such as Internet telephony, videoconferencing and command and control speech functions, providing USB plug-and-play capability while at a distance from the microphone.

The Andrea USB Array Microphone is optimized to run on a host Pentium processor and is compatible with any speech application running on Windows 98 Second Edition and Windows 2000. Andrea Electronics Corporationtronics' software algorithms adaptively focus on and enhance the user's voice while electronically eliminating background noise that would distort the voice signal. Together, the USB platform and proprietary noise canceling technologies create a high performance audio input solution for users of voice-operated applications who seek an easy-to-use, accurate microphone.
