The AutoArray DA300 is a revolutionary digital, high performance microphone system designed for in-vehicle computing, specifically enhancing the speech recognition interface. It is the first super-directional audio input device designed specifically for Auto PCs, global positioning systems (GPS) and cellular car phone kits.

Microphone Array Andrea's acoustic microphone design utilizes four microphones, unique software algorithms and a Digital Signal Processor (DSP) to adaptively focus microphone sensitivity on the driver's voice, reducing extraneous noise such as engine hum, air conditioning, traffic and radio. The technology and design of the AutoArray allows Auto PC users to achieve superior levels of voice input clarity for optimal speech recognition performance.

DSP Module The AutoArray, incorporating Andrea's patented Digital Super Directional Array (DSDA™) technology, consists of four microphones which collect four channels of acoustic information. This information is sent to the Digital Signal Processor (DSP) residing on the motherboard. The DSP processing allows the Array to adaptively control acoustic signals to achieve the highest levels of microphone performance. This process enables the microphones to separate the voice frequency from the noise, focusing on the voice signal. Extraneous noise is inverted and subtracted from the voice signal, delivering a clear, enhanced audio signal.

Power Supply The Power Supply provides 9V of regulated and stabilized power to the DSP module. Wiring provides connection to the car power source.

Mounting Hardware The Array mounts to the sunvisor, window frame or dashboard (approximately 18-24 inches from the driver). The mounting hardware allows for easy and accurate positioning of the microphone array in front of the driver.
