Digital Sub Sea High Pressure, Temperature Probe ZT201-10

In conjunction with Custom Components Inc., Scientific MicroSystems, Inc., has developed a digital version of their SubSea Pressure and Temperature probe.

Product Description

The SMI-ZT201-10 uses a microcontroller attached to a Line Driver to enable the transmission of the digital signal over a 10 mile range. The device uses the Modbus Protocol but other protocols may be added as required.

The whole package fits into a 2-7/8" ID cylinder. The package is designed to withstand pressure at depths of up to 6000 feet.

Applications
Typically this new digital probe would be used to provide sub sea temperature and pressure readings from production well heads. It can be run independently of existing sub sea systems or in conjunction with them. The system also supports more than one digital probe attached per port. This allows for daisy chaining of probes.

The SMI-ZT201-10 can be connected directly to sub sea PLCs or RTUs where only short distances are to be traversed.

The device can connect to RS232 / RS485 or RS422 ports in PLCs, RTUs and SCADA systems that support serial protocols, such as Modbus.
