Intelligraphics' expertise in driver development is derived from our company's vast experience in display drivers. As the technologies have matured, Intelligraphics has broadened its expertise to include a wide variety of printing, scanning and digital imaging devices.

Intelligraphics' development team has provided firmware, drivers and application software to support a number of printer hardware systems. Our engineers have developed drivers and firmware for laser, dot matrix, ink-jet, large format, thermal wax transfer, and black and white/color printing devices. Intelligraphics' staff has experience in printer driver development in virtually all PC operating systems including all versions of Microsoft Windows, Linux/UNIX, MacOS, OS/2, and a number of RTOS.

Intelligraphics' engineers have provided driver development for applications that require special printer functionality or communication. Intelligraphics' engineers have created HP, Postscript and PCL drivers and developed special printer implementations, including plotter drivers and print-to-fax drivers.

Intelligraphics' developers are familiar with various printer DDKs and have modified the Microsoft DDK making use of hardware acceleration and image enhancement capabilities. Intelligraphics is also familiar with Centronics, ECP and EPP interfaces as well as the intricacies of parallel port communication. With our broad experience in PC operating systems, Intelligraphics can efficiently port drivers between applicable operating systems.

Intelligraphics has experience in driver development to support scanners and other digital imaging devices. Typical projects our developers have completed include drivers, firmware and user control interfaces for multi-line scanning devices and networking drivers to allow connectivity with various imaging devices. Intelligraphics has experience developing driver support for USB scanning devices and the creation of system level components for image capture and conversion and can also provide firmware and drivers to support digital cameras and IEEE 1394 devices.
