VSBC-6862
This computer board is based on the MPC8260 from MOTOROLA (PowerQUICC II). This processor is rated at 280 MIPS for 200 MHz and includes a very efficient SDRAM controller One of the key feature of this device is to include a Quad Integrated Communications Controller (QUICC). This QUICC is implemented on several products in the Motorola embedded processor family. It provides an dedicated module containing RISC CPU and DMA channels for handling very efficiently a wide range of communications protocols.
The VSBC-6862 includes 16Mb of 32-bit Flash. This Flash memory is devised in two banks. This board is supplied with 32Mb of SDRAM. To maximize the performance, this memory is directly connected to the processor 64-bit data bus. A dual-port VME shared 1 MByte SRAM for intelligent peripheral baord application.
The VSBC-6862 is a sophisticated and flexible product from the ACTIS Computer PowerPC product line.
