Microscan announced the megapixel bar code imager to include inspection of caps and test tubes. Manufacturers of lab automation systems and diagnostic equipment can now implement inspection and data tracking together in one easy solution. The new MS-4 EZ Match imager can evaluate cap type, detect absence or presence of caps and tubes, and read linear and 2D bar codes.

One of the leading logic nonvolatile memory (NVM) intellectual property (IP) supplier, Impinj Inc., recently announced that the company's AEON/MTP Parallel Architecture memory core meets Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company's quality standard. The AEON/MTP Parallel Architecture core achieved silicon validation in TSMC's 0.18-micron process and is the first NVM multiple-time-programmable (MTP) IP product to meet the foundry's reliability, performance and manufacturing standards.
