e-micrOS, the essential middleware sitting between the operating system and microprocessor, includes the accelBIOS core, accelTool SDK and accelSys management tool. The core software and associated tools provide the custom boot loaders, OAL's and device drivers that allow OEM hardware to communicate with the operating system. The e-micrOS architecture reduces development time and expense and has, more importantly, allowed our OEM clients to focus their engineering resources on developing differentiating features for their products rather than incurring the added burden involved in developing low-level system software. In addition, our OEM clients have realized the following benefits:

  • Reduced Time-to-Market
  • Reduced Costs for New Product Development
  • Creation of Consistency within Product Lines
  • OS and Processor Independent
  • Internet Ready Solution
  • Reduced Non-recurring Engineering Costs
  • Customer Focus on Application Rather than System Software
  • Integrable Reference Platforms

A graphical representation of the e-micrOS architecture can be found above. Any combination of Microsoft Windows CE & Linux operating systems and ARM-based microprocessors (including Intel StrongARM & LinkUp ARM) can be utilized.
