Accelent Systems iSyS Solution

The Intelligent System Software (iSyS) solution is the term given to represent the scope of Accelent's offerings and is comprised of the e-micrOS product suite, key advanced software technologies and a number of development and reference platforms. By serving as the basis for the iSyS solution, the e-micrOS product suite, which consists of a core system software, accelBIOS; a configuration SDK, accelTool; and a system management tool, accelSys provides the low level system software that allows hardware designs to communicate with the operating system. Additionally, the iSyS solution is enhanced by a number of third party and in-house advanced software development technologies. These four technologies include sophisticated intelligent power management for maximum battery life and data reliability; wireless and Internet connectivity for portable and wired computing requirements; and ASIC technology for extensive product functionality. Rounding out the iSyS solution, and in order to expedite IA product development efforts, Accelent combined its technologies and software into a number of integrated development and reference platforms, thus speeding time-to-market and significantly reducing development costs. While currently supporting any combination of Microsoft Windows CE & Linux operating systems and ARM-based microprocessors (including StrongARM), the iSyS solution is architected to be independent of the operating system and microprocessor. As such, any number of new operating systems and processors can be supported, including Intel's next generation XScale microarchitecture.
