About Us

The dynamic market opportunities created by the convergence of consumer electronics, portable devices and network communications need a special computing device: a device that is powerful yet small, with very low power consumption and designed specifically to meet the needs of 21st century applications. Hyperstone delivers that capability with a novel 16/32-bit processor architecture, combining 32-bit RISC technology and 16/32-bit Digital Signal Processing (DSP).

Founded in 1990 and centered in Constance, Germany, Hyperstone serves a global customer base. It supplies the RISC/DSP architecture as packaged devices and licences it as Intellectual Property (IP). It builds on the RISC/DSP to develop and sell ASSPs (Application Specific Standard Products) and ASICs (Application Specific Integrated Circuits) to address specific markets, such as digital still cameras, and as the core of volume products, like flash memory cards and Internet appliances. It will soon release the core as software IP for FPGA and ASIC prototyping.
