Scientific MicroSystems, Inc was formed in August of 1993 to provide Software and Hardware services for the Oil Field Service Industry. Since that time the company has expanded its list of services to include design and implementation of software and hardware for Industrial Controls, SCADA and Data Acquisition Systems. The company has also created hardware and software products which it is now marketing.

During 1995 to 1996 the company expanded its customer base to include companies in other market sectors such as the Medical and Marine Engineering businesses. Also in this period the company has developed a reputation in the Controls industry as the premiere Software Controls house for remote Sub Sea Blow Out Preventer Systems.

In 1997 the company formed a further alliance with a small startup company called AccuTru International,Inc. On December 3rd 1997 SMI signed a long term OEM requirements agreement with AccuTru International Inc.

During 1997 the company out performed expectation by doubling in size. During 1998 a more typical expansion of 20% was achieved and now the work force stands at 19 people.

The company has also formed several strategic alliances with National Instruments, Z•World, and Wind River Systems. Each of these companies are vendors used by Scientific MicroSystems, Inc. Our company uses their products in the course of providing services for clients. These alliances provide the company with sales and marketing opportunities not normally available to smaller companies, and have been instrumental in the growth of the company.

To date the company has experienced significant growth in each year of operation and expects to continue this trend well into the next millennium.
