Description
The MTC11207B and MTC11224B are miniature printed circuit board subassemblies, referred to as boardlets, which contain the MTC1207B 10.664 Gb/s MUX/CMU and the MTC1224B CDR/DMUX respectively. Each boardlet contains all external circuitry necessary to allow the MUX and DMUX to function properly when interfaced with the 666 MHz LVDS clock and data signals originating on the main system board.
The 666 MHz clock and data signals are interfaced to the system board using a set of pad arrays that are compatible with a commercially available surface mount multi-pin connector. The boardlets eliminate complicated and time consuming 10.664 Gb/s PCB design since all 10. 664 Gb/s signal traces are self contained on each boardlet. Their small outline and simplified interfacing requirements makes the boardlets ideally suited for use in a SONET OC-192 or SDH STM-64 telecommunications equipment.
