V3 Semiconductor Introduces New SDRAM Controller (PDF)

The V380SDC is a high performance SDRAM and (Enhanced) SDRAM Controller for embedded applications. The V380SDC controller provides a user-programmable processor bus interface that allows OEMs to further reduce their time-to-market, by providing a glueless interface to a wide range of processors. A single 100-pin PQFP device with a local bus speed of up to 75 MHz and long burst capability allows high system performance and functionality, while continuing to offer price and performance levels necessary for competitive product development. To take advantage of the economies of scale and continuity of supply, the V380SDC allows easy migration from older memory technologies to today's mainstream SDRAM technology. The V380SDC controller supports up to 2 Gbytes of SDRAM or (Enhanced) SDRAM in various packages including industry standard DIMM(s) and SODIMM(s) for a wide range of applications in telecom, networking, industrial control, office automation, home network appliances, and digital consumer appliances.
