Toshiba America Electronic Components/Taec33 MHz TMPR3927 high performance, single-chip MIPS-based RISC microprocessor features integrated PCI and SDRAM controllers. The on-chip PCI controller enables system designers to reduce overall system costs, and simplify system design by eliminating the need for a separate PCI controller. The microprocessor offers higher performance over Toshiba's 70MHz, 32-bit TMPR3907 and TMPR3907A microprocessors.

The new microprocessor is part of the TX39 family of MIPS-based TX SystemRISC microprocessors, which are application-specific standard products ideal for printer, set-top box, networking and Windows CE applications. The TX39 supports the R3000A architecture and features a five-stage pipeline, built-in high performance cache memory, data cache snoop, and branch-likely instructions. The microprocessor is based on the TX39 CPU core, which includes 8 kilobyte instruction cache, 4KB data cache operating at 133MHz.
