500 MHz Option for Pentium III Single Board Computer

The company offers a new 500 MHz option for its ZT 5531 CPU Board with Pentium III Processor. This 6U CPU board features the Intel Pentium III- Low Power Module and has been designed to provide a feature set optimized for communications network, control and enhanced service applications.

The announcement of the 500 MHz is in concert with an announcement by the Network Processing Group of Intel Corporation to support the 500 MHz Intel Pentium III- Low Power Module, for long term availability.

The ZT 5531 supports 14 CompactPCI peripheral boards. Its single-slot, on-board feature set includes second level cache, ECC synchronous DRAM support, flash memory, dual 10/100 Mbps Ethernet network interfaces, dual serial ports, system monitoring and alarming functions, USB, rear I/O connections and optional AGP video controller. In addition, PMC module, IDE hard drive, and floppy drive support is available in a variety of combinations.

The ZT 5331 supports CompactPCI products built to the hot swap standard adopted by the PCI Industrial Computer Manufacturers Group (PICMG).

The ZT 5331 will be available as the main processor in a fast-track, pre-configured CompactPCI development system designed to hasten the OEM product development cycle. In addition, it is fully compatible with the company's line of CompactNET Peripheral Master CPU boards for high performance multiprocessing applications.
