600MHz Pentium(r) III single-slot VME CPU board

Concurrent Technologies IncP32 is Concurrent Technologies second single slot VME board and is based on Intel's new Flip-Chip Pentium III processor and is an ideal choice as the central processing unit for applications in the telecommunications, industrial, defense, medical and aerospace markets.

Concurrent Technologies IncP3x is a superior performance, high functionality CPU board,supporting the new low-power Flip-Chip Pentium III processor which is based on Intel(r)'s 0.18 micron Coppermine technology and 100MHz system bus. The Pentium III has its own integrated Level 2 cache that operates at full CPU speed. The new Level 2 cache has been further improved by Intel's implementation of its Advanced Transfer Cache, which provides a 256-bit data path, 8-way associativity and a reduced latency. These features further improve the Pentium III's performance and consequently the board's performance is also improved.

Concurrent Technologies IncP3x design uses a passive heat sink in preference to a CPU fan; a single slot solution is also ensured. Concurrent Technologies IncP32 is a PC compatible board. Additional features included on the board are high performance Ultra-SCSI/EIDE, 10 or 100Mbps Ethernet using a RJ45 connector, high resolution graphics, including support for flat panel displays, up to 256 Mbytes of DRAM and support for DiskOnChip(r). On board fast hardware byte-swapping is also supported. In addition, the board offers PC-compatible features such as keyboard, mouse, USB, floppy disk and printer port.

These features can be further extended by the use of the on board PMC site, and a further 2 PMC modules can be added using an optional PMC carrier board which connects directly to Concurrent Technologies IncP32 via the PMC expansion interface. Additional optional products include a Mass Storage Module and CompactFlash(tm) module.
