68-pin PLCC-to-PGA Adapter

N/Arect-a-Chip adapter enables boards designed for the 87C196 PGA device and other obsolete 68-pin PGA ICs to utilize higher performance PLCC-packaged components with no board rework or redesign. The new adapter adapts 68-pin PLCC chips with die flipped to old PGA package.

The PLC chip can be hand soldered or reflow soldered to the top of the adapter using conventional means. The assembly can then be soldered onto the PCB or inserted into a standard socket. The adapters have a temperature range of –55 to +105°C.
