6U CompactPCI Board for High Availability Applications

SBS Technologies, Inc., Embedded Computersa 6U CompactPCI CPU board for high availability applications. The board features hot swap capabilities, and can be used as either a system or peripheral CPU. Through dual bus expansion, the board supports up to 14 slots using standard backplanes. Mezzanine extensions can be achieved through PMC interfaces in order to implement application-specific I/O. The PMC interfaces' 64-bit wide data bus ensures a high data transfer rate via the backplane.

The board can be used as a system CPU or as a peripheral CPU. The board determines its operation mode through an autodetect function, which allows for high performance multiprocessor systems to be set up based on a single CPU platform.

The board supports both Celeron and PentiumIII processors on socket 370, the Intel 82440BX chip set and up to 1 GB of memory with 100 MHz SDRAMs.
