AeroComm Partners With BFI Optilas

Lenexa, KS -- AeroComm announced that it has finalized an agreement with BFI Optilas for distribution of its products within Europe. BFI Optilas, a subsidiary of Avnet, specializes in the distribution of hi-tech electronic components, maintaining branch offices in France, Germany, Spain, Italy, UK, Belgium, Sweden, and Denmark.

In previous years, AeroComm has utilized specific BFI branch offices for distribution into Belgium and the UK. Building on this relationship, AeroComm has now expanded into a Pan European product line for BFI.

Recent introduction of transceivers designed to European regulations substantiated the need for AeroComm to provide supreme local coverage and customer support in all major industrial European communities. BFI Optilas gives AeroComm the avenue to promote the recently developed AC4868-250 high power 868 MHz transceiver, as well as, the AC4424-100 industrial OEM module for 2.4 GHz applications.

"We have seen a sharp rise in demand from Europe," said Randy Macke, International Sales Manager. "With BFI holding stock in Germany, adding them to our distribution chain will eliminate long lead-times inherent to international sales. Having eight branch offices, our customers will also benefit from the local sales support."

In addition to the expansion in Europe, AeroComm has added several new distribution points throughout the world. AeroComm now has distributors or representatives covering 6 continents and located in more than 25 different countries.
