Anna Technology Acquires Illinois-based EMAC, Inc.

Annasoft Systemslogy, a leading provider of industry leading technology and services for intelligent device development, announced the acquisition of Illinois-based Equipment Monitor and Control, Inc. (EMAC). Established in 1984, EMAC provides Single Board Computers, I/O peripherals, Microprocessor Training Systems, Internet enabling technology, custom engineering and manufacturing services.

The EMAC solution set includes technologies to enable monitoring and control over the Internet. These include: Single-Board Server (SBS), Server-In-a-Box (SIB), Internet Ready Utility Meter, Internet Ready ATM, and Incubator Controller. At the heart of these technologies is a custom Gateway CGI program written by EMAC. The Gateway CGI and configuration scripts allow the user to control and monitor simple serial devices as well as complex systems over the Internet or a LAN. Users can interact utilizing a standard browser from anywhere in the world and communicate with even the simplest controllers in an intuitive graphical format.
