SBS GreenSpring Modular I/O today announced the availability of the VIPC360, a new 3U VME dual IndustryPack carrier board with two IndustryPack sites and a 32 MHz MC68EN360 QUICC communications processor. The VIPC360 provides a high-density, high-performance solution for ruggedized control and telecommunications applications.
The VIPC3 60 supports A24, A 16 VMEbus master and slave with slot one capabilities, including arbiter. It includes 1 MB of FLASH memory, and 4 MB of DRAM for 68360 code and communications data. The SRAM, FLASH and DRAM memories, in addition to the 68360 on-chip RAM and registers, are dual ported. Dual port memory can be accessed by both a VMEbus master and the 68360
The VIPC360 also features a 1013aseT Ethernet interface, a battery-backed Real Time Clock, and an RS-232 interface. LEDs to indicate CPU RUN, IP access, VME master and slave access, and Ethernet activity are also included. A background debug mode (BDM) port is provided for
comprehensive software development, and an optional VxWorks, and pSOS+ BSP will soon be
available. The VIPC360 offers a total of four connectors, two RJ45 front panel connectors, for
Ethernet and RS-232 serial port, and two 50-pin connectors for IP on PCB.
