  • GENERAL DESCRIPTION
    This modern high performance system-on-a-chip offers a high level of integration. Its single cycle execution and high performance floating point unit is capable of 60 MIPS peak throughput (18 DAIS sustained). The chip addresses up to 8 gigabytes of memory using flat model addressing. The Integrated Memory Management Unit supports 16 MB of paged memory. Legacy mode runs at a slower speed so timing dependent software can execute without modification. Optimized for efficiency, the CPU1750A-60 is fully static and synchronous so the power consumption can be further reduced by setting the frequency only to the level required to perform the task in the allotted time.

    Targeted for high reliability, embedded applications, the CPU1750A-60 provides more than ninety percent BIST coverage as well as parity on the internal RAMs and external memory interfaces. The integration of the parity into the processor eliminates the negative performance impact found with the external parity circuits. RTNI offers extensive real-time visibility into the internal operation of the chip without affecting the timing or behavior. Compatible with industry standard symbolic debuggers, RTNI accelerates the development of real-time software.
