Datalight ThinSystem is an operating system foundation for Citrix® ICA and Microsoft RDP Windows Based Terminal applications. It is the only complete software package that has been optimized in both size and capabilities for Thin Client manufacturers.
Datalight ThinSystem
ThinSystem is based on Datalight's WinLight, a full-featured operating system that includes a familiar Windows 95/98 Graphical User Interface (GUI). To this, Datalight engineers added a TCP/IP stack, and multi-protocol connectivity.
ThinSystem also incorporates a complete set of configuration utilities that simplify the system administrator's task of setting the IP address of the thin client and establishing server connections.
Fully compatible, ThinSystem will run the Citrix ICA Protocol while connecting to a server with any version of Windows NT Terminal Server Edition (TSE) as well as Windows 2000. ThinSystem is also compatible with Microsoft RDP.

The entire ThinSystem solution with ICA or RDP needs only 16 megabytes of RAM.

ThinSystem can work with the latest versions of Windows NT TSE and Windows 2000 eliminating the constraints imposed by proprietary remote connections.
A complete set of configuration utilities simplifies the task of setting the IP address of the thin client and establishing server connections.
System configuration options are password protected.
ThinSystem provides a VT-100 terminal emulator program for connection to a VT-100-compliant server. End User:
ThinSystem can run concurrent sessions, allowing terminal emulation or Internet browsing to run simultaneously on a local client.
Once configured, the server connection will automatically be made upon power-up.
