Development Kit Suite

Arcom Control Systems, Inc.ol Systems and QNX Software Systems announce two new Development Kits based on Arcom's latest Single Board Computers and QNX's real-time operating system suite. These integrated hardware and software development kits are designed to provide a complete set of components to enable the development of new QNX applications for Arcom's single board computers.

The Elan104-NC provides the low power and expanded functionality of the Elan104, but now incorporates on-board Ethernet. The MediaGX is based on a 233Mhz low power processor, and includes such functionality as audio, USB, flat panel video, touch screen interface, and a PC104+ PCI interface.

Both kits contain the QNX real-time OS, Photon microGUI and Voyager web browser pre-loaded into an on-board Flash-based drive that resides on Arcom's Single Board Computers. Also supplies is a PS/2 mouse, a +5V power supply, and connection cables for interfacing the Arcom Elan104-NC or MediaGX SBC to: VGA-CRT display, serial ports, IDE and floppy disk drives.
