Valley Technologies Inc.and, dual-channel receiver/tuner, ubbed the Model VT-1406, is implemented in a single-width PMC Mezzanine Card form factor. The PMC design is compatible with a variety of industry standard carrier boards, including VME, PCI, and CompactPCI (cPCI). The receiver is designed for engineers and designers of real-time applications who demand sustained, high throughput rates, combined with ease of system integration and flexibility. Features include:

* 32-bit Numerically Controlled Oscillator (NCO)
* 256 k-sample FIFO per channel
* Fifth-order CIC filter
* Five half-band filters
* User-programmable 255 tap FIR filter
* Selectable Output Formats
* AM, FM, I, Q, Magnitude, and Phase
* Tuning Range of plus-or-minus Fs/2
* Selectable Decimation from 8 to 16348

The receiver uses flexible clocking and rate buffering to operate the signal processing chain from multiple sources, including the Front Panel Data Port (FPDP) clock, phase-locked 2X copy of the FPDP clock, or an internal 50 MHz oscillator. Software support includes example application software, VxWorks, and Windows 95/98/NT drivers. The inherently extensible firmware also permits selected custom configurations to suit specialized stand-alone or large system solutions in fields such as digital radio, RADAR, SIGINT systems, and SONAR.
