EBSnet releases Rtkernel-32 and RTIP Developer Kits for Motorola Processors

EBSnet, an established provider of embedded internet software since 1987 announced the release of Software Development Kits for Motorola MPC8XX and MC68360 EBSnet's MPC SDK components include an RTOS, TCP-IP network stack, and DOS file system. A full suite of application protocol is available to enhance the kit, including a Web browser and HTML based GUI tools.

TCP-IP networking protocols for the MPC kits are based on EBSnet's long-standing RTIP product that boasts more than 600 design wins worldwide. The DOS compatible file system is ERTFS, provided by EBS, Inc. ERTFS has been deployed in millions of embedded products since 1987. For developers of interactive Internet devices, EBSnet's WEBster, a Web browse and HTML based GUI SDK is available for Embedded Planet boards.

The RTOS for the MPC8XX kit is RTKernel-RISC, EBSnet's port of the On Time Informatik's RTKernel-32 RTOS. EBSnet's MPC8XX SDK supports both the GNU and Diab Data compiler toolchains and the following processors; MPC860, MPC860T and MPC823. The SDK supports evaluation boards from Motorola (MBX860, ADS860, FADS860T) and Embedded Plane (RPX23 Lite).

The MC68360 SDK from EBSnet supports the Microtec and SDS compiler toolchains, and the RTPX and uCos RTOS'es Rtkernel-RISC for 68360 is under development at this time.

The EBSnet Coldfire SDK with RTKernel-RISC is currently in development and is scheduled for release Q2 01. It wil support the Metrowerks tool chain and the Motorola 5272 development system.
