EBX Single Board Computer features Pentium III CPU

VersaLogic Corporation has released a new Socket 370 single< board computer with DiskOnChip site and PC/104-Plus expansion. The EBX-compliant board includes AGP video and flat panel support, 10/100BaseT Ethernet, sound support, 100 MHz Front Side Bus, and up to 256 MB SDRAM. The VSBC-8 accepts the newest Socket 370 processors including Celeron and Pentium III - up to 850 MHz Pentium III with 100 MHz front side bus and 256K L2 cache.

The VSBC-8 includes a full complement of on-board industrial features such as analog input option, Opto 22 compatible digital I/O port, four COM ports (two RS-232/422/485), and three extra timer/counters.

The VSBC-8 features high reliability design and construction including CPU temperature sensor, latching I/O connectors and latching high-reliability memory sockets. Each board is subjected to a 48-hour burn-in and 100% functional testing and is backed by a two-year warranty. A number of options and customized versions are available. This EBX embedded computer is compatible with a wide range of popular operating systems.

The VSBC-8b model (with low power fanless 400 MHz Pentium III CPU) is priced at $1025 in low OEM quantities. Production quantities are scheduled for availability in October.
