Analogic DCP announces its AAF-3 Series and AAF-16 PC-based filter boards
Analogic Corporationogic DCP announces its AAF-3 Series and AAF-16 PC-based filter boards. These multi-configurable boards are specifically designed to enhance A/D board performance with PC/AT data acquisition systems (DASs). Fully compatible with all Analogic DAS product families, the AAF-3 Series and the AAF-16 are suited for improving total system accuracy by removing unwanted high frequency signals, mechanical vibrations, and other error and noise sources from the signal before A/D conversion.

The AAF-3 Series is a PC-based, 2-, 4- or 8-channel low-pass filter board designed for use as a front end to a PC-based data acquisition board. Features include a choice of standard 8-pole elliptic or linear phase filter characteristics, and optional Bessel, Butterworth, Cauer, and high speed linear phase filters; software selectable cutoff frequencies from 1 Hz to 100 kHz, optionally to 200 kHz; software programmable gains; and synchronization of the internal filter clock to the A/D sampling rate.

The AAF-16 is a PC-based, 16-channel low-pass filter board, suited for optimizing performance in 16-bit applications. Each channel uses one of five 8-pole filter types with a rolloff of up to 120 dB/octave, and a variable cutoff frequency range of 2 Hz to 200 kHz, depending upon selected filter type.
