FlashFX, introduced in 1993, FlashFX is a compact flash media manager that supports popular industry resident flash arrays (on-board flash memory). FlashFX is compact and fast-making it particularly well suited for embedded environments and devices like cellular phones, global positioning systems, PDAs or any other device that utilize flash memory for data storage.
FlashFX uses a patented technology called Variable Block Flash (VBF) format to provide a faster and more efficient logical to physical address translation. FlashFX also includes automatic garbage collection and wear leveling. Portable to any operating system or CPU, FlashFX has even been optimized for Windows CE and Linux.
Like ROM-DOS, FlashFX is shipped with the Datalight Software Development Toolkit (SDTK) that includes all third party and Datalight specific tools needed for the development of Datalight products.
