EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ, July 7 -- ITOX, Inc. today unveiled its line of server appliances -- the Little Dragon Series -- at prices believed to be the lowest in the industry, typically 40 to 50% below competitive products. ITOX, which is a leading developer of applied computer platforms for computer telephony and industrial applications, is offering special introductory pricing to underscore its aggressive low price points strategy. For example, evaluation units of the Little Dragon 1U (barebone configuration) are available for a limited time at $399.

The low-profile ITOX Little Dragons support Intel Pentium III processors up to 700 MHz as well as economical Intel Celeron processors. Their top quality components include an Intel chip set and an Intel 82559 fast Ethernet controller.

The Little Dragon Series initial offerings include 1U and 2U units, in barebone or full system configurations. The 1U design (1.75"high) includes one full-length PCI slot and three drive bays. The 2U (3.5" high) includes two full-length PCI slots and four drive bays.
The compact design of the Little Dragon server appliance allows for more systems per rack. Its heavy duty steel case was designed to meet the needs of high-density installations that require quick service access, and mounting options typically needed by Internet service providers (ISPs) and application service providers (ASPs).
The Little Dragon fits open-frame or enclosed cabinet-style racks, and is ideal for applications where high packaging density, performance, easy operation, and quick interchangeability are required.
