JDSnet is a real-time, transparent in-circuit emulator based on the JTAG boundary scan port
JDSnet is a real-time, transparent in-circuit emulator based on the JTAG boundary scan port. The emulator connects to a standard parallel port (LPT1-LPT4) of a desktop or notebook PC for true portability. At the lab or office the emulator may be shared over the TCP/IP network with the use of our ICEServer software utility. The emulator is available with a 128k deep real-time trace buffer that captures the activity of the processor's address, data and control lines. Once captured, the debugger will display the executed program and data flow and the corresponding assembly or C program. Each captured sample is stored with a time stamp for rapid display of execution times in absolute, relative or delta modes. A post-capture setup for filtering, tagging and searching is provided to selectively display only the samples that meet the user's criteria, hiding all unwanted frames and enhancing the trace visibility. The filtered or unfiltered trace data can be exported to other Windows applications for further numerical or graphical signal analysis.

Depending on the DSP choice, connection to target boards is achieved via a clip-on or solder-down footprint adapters. JDSnet may be ordered with Code Composer or with our Windows-95/98/NT Chameleon Debugger designed to handle multi-core IC's and systems running multiple CPUs. Chameleon Debugger works with a variety of hardware emulation devices (including TI's XDS-510 emulator) and provides a consistent GUI user interface to an embedded project at all stages on the development cycle and production. Being a 32-bit, multi-threaded Windows application Chameleon Debugger supports multiple CPUs in a single GUI debugging environment. There is no need to switch from screen to screen because Chameleon displays information on all active CPU on the same screen making the debugging process easier. Regardless of the number of CPUs being debugged, Chameleon offers the latest debugging features such as fly-over variable watch, drag and drop variables, Virtual I/O, complex variable implode/explode, script language for automatic testing, symbol browsing, and more. Step-into, Step-out and Step-over modes are supported for both C and assembly levels. Our unique graphical interface for complex events is quick, intuitive and incredibly easy to use.
