JUNGO WINDRIVER BROADENS SUPPORT FOR QUICKLOGIC PCI BRIDGING PLATFORMS

Sunnyvale, California – August 20, 2001 - QuickLogic Corporation (Nasdaq: QUIK), a pioneer of ESP (Embedded Standard Product) technology and Jungo Software Technologies Inc., a leading provider of hardware access solutions and device driver development toolkits, today announced enhanced support for QuickLogic's Avalanche, Hurricane and Snowstorm PCI development platforms. New support includes QuickLogic-specific sample and diagnostic files designed to shorten driver development when using WinDriver.
WinDriver offers immediate hardware access via graphical tools and the WinDriver API, and enables developers to quickly create custom device drivers by generating skeletal driver code. Developers may add their specific driver functionality in a user mode application. The development process does not require knowledge of operating system internals or the DDK. Device drivers created with WinDriver can be ported between Windows 95/98/ME/NT/NT Embedded/2000/CE, Linux, Solaris and VxWorks without additional code modification.
"Jungo is pleased to expand WinDriver's enhanced support for QuickLogic's PCI development platforms subsequent to the previous collaboration for the QuickPCI family," said Limor Shmerling, WinDriver product manager, "QuickLogic customers will now benefit from a wide variety of drivers that have been developed using WinDriver technology and will be able to easily add their own functionality to these drivers using WinDriver."
"The addition of this technology is part of our focus on fast system development and high performance," said Stacy Joseph, QuickLogic's director of product marketing. "It specifically addresses ease-of-use for engineers regardless of their level of PCI specialization and enhances overall productivity."
