MagicRAM, Inc. announced today the introduction of the highest capacity available today in Linear Flash PC Cards.

The MagicRAM's new FLF series Linear Flash Cards are based on Intel 28F128J3A StrataFlash.

MagicRAM's Linear Flash cards are high density, re-programmable, non-volatile solid state memory devices that do not require a battery or external power for permanent data retention. MagicRAM's Linear Flash cards are ideal solution for high performance disk emulation, data collection, robotics and execute in place (XIP) applications in mobile PC and embedded equipment.

The card's control logic provides the system interface and controls the internal Flash memories. MagicRAM's Linear Flash card can be read/written in byte-wide or word-wide mode which allows for flexible integration into various systems. Combined with file management software, such as Flash Translation Layer (FTL), the Flash cards provide removable high performance disk emulation. Standard cards contain separate 2KB EEPROM memory for Card Information Structure (CIS) which can be used for easy identification of card characteristics. Write protect switch prevents over-writing valuable data. The cards are enclosed in a stainless steel, sonic-welded case to assure performance, reliability and durability and provide isolation from ESD. MagicRAM's Linear Flash cards are available in capacities from 4MB to 192MB in standard (0°C - +70°C) or extended temperature (-40°C - +85°C).
MagicRAM also offers Linear Flash cards based on Intel Series II, II+, and Value Series 100.
