Micro-485 Programmable Controller
Distinguishing features supporting more advanced control and data acquisition applications include:
- 12 MHz 80C51FA CPU
- 27 digital I/O lines
- 32K bytes of socketed EPROM (64K optional)
- 128K bytes of RAM
- 1K-bit EEPROM
- 4 channel, 12-bit A/D converter
- Real time clock/calendar with alarm
- On-board precision 5 volt regulator
- Back-up battery (for the RAM and RTC)
- Networking capability
Hardware options include a 64K EPROM for maximum program storage, and an ultra-low power PLD (Programmable Logic Device) for power-conscious applications. Custom memory maps can also be implemented by reprogramming the system PLD.
RESIDENT SOFTWARE
The Micro-485 features built-in BASIC and MONITOR-51 software for easy programming. All you need is a terminal or PC with a serial port. BASIC or assembly language programs can be interactively written or created with a text editor and then uploaded. Programs can be configured to run out of RAM or EPROM.
Our Blue Earth BASIC interpreter includes floating point arithmetic and supports over 120 commands, statements, and expression operators. Also included are the BASIC file commands SAVE, KILL, XFER and DIR.
The MONITOR-51 debug monitor can be used for writing and debugging assembly language programs. It supports multiple break points, single step execution, in-line assembly and disassembly, and Intel Hex file transfers.
Third party support software is available, including a symbolic debugger, BASIC development utilities<, and a BASIC compiler that is 100% compatible with Blue Earth BASIC.
The Micro-485 may be purchased separately or as part of a complete package that includes everything needed to get your project up and running with the least amount of effort the Micro-485, ST-485 screw terminal interface board, PC interface cable, plug-in power supply, user's manual, and pocket reference guide. The companion ST-485 makes interfacing easy, with screw terminals for all available Micro-485 signals.
