Microscan Appoints New Company President

Microscan, a leading manufacturer of automation technology equipment, announces the appointment of Jeff Timms as the company President, effective January 1, 2008.

Timms brings to Microscan 23 years of business leadership in global technology and automation companies, including senior management positions with Siemens and Universal Instruments.

Most recently at Siemens Energy and Automation Electronics Assembly Division, Timms held the position of Vice President and General Manager for the Americas. Prior to this, he held the position of Vice President, Marketing and Sales for the same division. Before joining Siemens, Timms held senior positions in operations, marketing, and service with Universal Instruments, a subsidiary of the Dover Corporation serving the global electronic assembly and manufacturing market.

Timms holds a Bachelors degree in business from Norwich University in Montpelier, Vermont, an AAS degree in electrical technology, and has completed an Executive Education Program from Duke University's Fuqua School of Business in Durham North Carolina. He has served on various industry councils and advisory boards, including Chairman of the IPC APEX Trade Show Committee.
