Nematron Software Training
Nematron offers a comprehensive training curriculum consisting of courses specifically designed for users and integrators of Nematron products. Nematron Certified Training instructors have extensive product experience and outstanding teaching techniques to ensure that attendees understand and learn to apply Nematron software products quickly and effectively. On request, courses will be scheduled at customer locations anywhere in the world.

OpenControl Maintenance
Objectives: At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:
- Understand the basic functions of flowchart blocks;
- Build, activate, and run a flowchart project;
- Use the watch window to view, change and force logic memory tags;
- Use the Debug Monitor tool to determine program flow;
- Track an input or output device through the Profibus network to its control tag within OpenControl;
- Add devices to the Profibus network and establish communications to OpenControl;
- Determine failed devices utilizing fault messages generated by OpenControl;
- Navigate and use Paragon HMI screens; and
- Install OpenControl and Paragon HMI software and projects for a specific machine.
OpenControl Programming
Objectives: At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:
- Reference the GM specification and utilize GM Powertrain and Saturn Division template flowcharts and HMI template screens to automate machinery;
- Connect to hardware via Profibus;
- Import and export OpenControl projects; and
- Troubleshoot OpenControl charts, Profibus addressing, and Paragon screens.
Paragon
Objectives: At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:
- Load and configure Paragon Software;
- Communicate to and troubleshoot I/O connections;
- Build simple control strategies;
- Collect, display and export trends and alarms;
- Design effective, easy to use operator displays;
- Set up and run a Paragon network;
- Upgrade to later versions of Paragon;
- Implement Screen and builder Security;
- Send data to local and remote printers;
- Set up barcodes and manipulate ASCII strings; and
- Create and run Recipes for batch processing.
FloPro
Objectives: At the conclusion of this course, the student should be able to:
- Create a flowchart application program;
- Debug a flowchart application program;
- Create a user interface for CRT and RMU;
- Analyze flowchart order of execution; and
- Feel confident in using all FloPro maintenance and troubleshooting functions.
