Fast direct hardware access

DriverAgent makes it possible to quickly develop direct hardware access programs that can quickly and easily get a new peripheral up and running. It provides a kernel mode class driver and user mode interfaces to be able to access a hardware device from an ordinary application. It also provides a user interface that makes it easy to set up an application to access DriverAgent kernel services.

DriverAgent lets you directly access hardware devices from an application running on Windows Millennium Edition, Windows 98, Windows 95, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000. It incorporates a DLL to access DriverAgent services, along with the DriverAgent Class Driver, which runs as a device driver in kernel mode with full access to the hardware.

For developers who aren't system programmers, this represents the ideal way for you to access hardware directly from your application. The programming interfaces are language independent, so you can use a language that matches the application or your skill set. Write your driver code in C, C++, Java, Delphi, or Visual Basic.
