NuMega DriverWorkbench and FieldAgent
Gathering detailed diagnostic information for device drivers in the field
DriverWorkbench and FieldAgent make it possible to monitor a beta or fielded driver remotely, gather the same information as you would get if it were running on your desktop, and debug using the same techniques. You can view events from any and all device drivers and to examine details of those events. DriverWorkbench and FieldAgent provide a user interface that captures selected events to permit easy analysis of the flow of control when the driver is called and during its execution.
DriverWorkbench and FieldAgent support the debugging of device drivers for Windows Millennium Edition, Windows 98, and Windows 2000 using the WDM driver model, Windows NT 4.0/Windows NT 3.51 drivers. If you have the source code of the drivers of interest on the system used for debugging, you can identify the exact source code that produced individual driver events. Even if you don't have source code for the driver available, DriverWorkbench and FieldAgent will provide extensive information on the behavior of the driver and its interaction with the system.
For the first time ever, device driver developers have the ability to use the industry's most powerful driver debugging environment on device drivers deployed in the field. In addition, DriverWorkbench and FieldAgent are central parts of the Compuware NuMega DriverStudio suite that provide a complete device driver design, development, testing, and fielding solution. DriverStudio provides a development, test, debugging, and deployment environment comparable to desktop application developers in productivity, ease of use, and quality of output.
