NuMega VtoolsD and QuickVxD
Write VxD drivers using C/C++ without Microsoft DDKs.
VtoolsD is a programmer's toolkit designed to simplify the development of Virtual Device Drivers (VxDs) for Microsoft Millennium Edition, Windows 98, Windows 95 and 3.1. VtoolsD includes libraries for C and C++ programming, extensive on-line documentation, and provides the QuickVxD tool for fast development of VxD skeletons. It also includes utilities for loading, unloading, and monitoring VxDs, and for converting files for use in VxDs.
QuickVxD is a form-based utility that works with the VtoolsD libraries to automatically generate skeletons of VxDs in minutes. The purpose of QuickVxD is to give you a fast start on a new VxD project, without being distracted by the low level details of VxD architecture.
With VtoolsD and QuickVxD, you have a comprehensive platform for rapidly producing reliable VxDs. There's no need to maintain separate and older development tools or keep extensive information on VxD development. Now VxD developers have the same quality development environment as those available to desktop application developers in productivity, ease of use, and quality of output. VtoolsD and QuickVxD are central parts of the Compuware NuMega DriverStudio suite that provide a complete device driver design, development, testing, and fielding solution.
