Open Verilog Plans EDA Sessions At DAC

Open Verilog International's technical committee chairs announced that they are planning Birds-of-a Feather Sessions at the upcoming Design Automation Conference in New Orleans, LA. The sessions, which will be open to all, will take place at the New Orleans Hilton on Wednesday, June 23, from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

One of the proposed sessions will focus on ALF, Advanced Library Modeling. According to organizers, this session will be of interest to anyone responsible for specification, development, or selection of EDA tools or libraries for very deep submicron ASIC and SoC design, involving

accurate characterization of delay, power, and signal integrity. Additional information may be obtained by contacting Wolfgang Roethig at wroethig@el.nec.com. Another session will focus on Verilog-AMS, which is used to describe the behavior of mixed signal systems with digital, analog, and non-electrical functions. Additional information on this session may be obtained by contacting Ira Miller at rjx340@email.sps.mot.com.

Those wishing to attend either session may sign up at the DAC information desk during the show. A room number will be issued when there are 10 or more people registered.
