This patent-pending design cracks the problem of supporting interrupt-driven PCMCIA PC Cards in PCI Bus card drives--without the need for a secondary ISA slot to handle Windows95, 98 and NT 4.0 IRQs. The Model P116 is a dual internal R/W unit with front-bay and rear card slots. It uses a single PCI expansion slot, and is able to support all 8- and 16-bit memory cards, including ATA types, plus interrupt-driven cards such as modem, LAN, and GPS types. System accommodates Type I, II, and III plug-ins and includes software drivers.
