The PGA-16 accepts up to 16 differential inputs with programmable AC or DC input coupling, and provides 16 single-ended outputs. Each channel can be independently configured for one of eleven gain settings: 0.5, 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 or 1000. Compatible with any PC-based data acquisition board, the PGA-16 can also be used directly to drive the high-impedence inputs typically found on most data acquisition boards, or be used as a 16-channel, differential input source for various types of signal conditioning boards. The PGA-16 has inputs ranging from DC to 200 kHz. A slew rate of 9V/µs makes the PGA-16 suited for fast, high-bandwidth signals.

The PGA-16 plugs into a PC and is programmable through the ISA bus. Comprehensive software supplied includes: Windows 3.1/95/NT; DOS menu-driven and driver software for controlling key functions; language support for C, Visual C++, Visual Basic and Pascal; and a LabVIEW driver that includes a Virtual Instrument (VI) library.
