The Pod-A-Lyzer 8020 is a portable logic analyzer that connects to any personal computer (desk or lap-top) via a standard RS-232 serial port. It has 18 input channels and can sample asynchronously at rates up to 100MSa/s. Synchronous acquisitions can be made using an external clock (up to 66MHz). Each channel has a 64K memory buffer for long signal acquisitions. Pod-A-Lyzer can capture over 640 µnsec sec of data on all 18 channels with 10 resolution!
It's small, so the Pod-A-Lyzer is ideal for design and debug applications where bench space is limited or portability is important. It is the only logic analyzer that fits on a credit card (physically and fiscally).
Control and display are accomplished by a software application that runs under Windows 3.1, 3.11, '95 and NT. All controls are accessible from a single screen and conform to the Microsoft User Interface Guidelines. If you can run Windows, you can run Pod-A-Lyzer!
The software is license free and can be distributed at no cost to anyone who needs to view Pod-A-Lyzer acquisition files. All Pod-A-Lyzer software updates are free and can be downloaded from this web site.
Easy To Use
Let's face it, many logic analyzers become a tool of last resort because they're so difficult to use. All Pod-A-Lyzer controls are accessible from a single screen and conform to Microsoft User Interface Guidelines. If you can use Windows, you can use Pod-A-Lyzer.
This analyzer fits on the busiest bench or in your briefcase. Since no plug-in card is required, it's perfect for use with lap-top computers.
State Machine Debug
18 channels of timing running at speeds up to 100 MSa/s
Embedded systems development
Group channels together as a bus, view them in Hex, Decimal, ASCII, Binary of as an Analog waveform.
On site test / troubleshooting
Pod-A-Lyzer is small enough to travel with you. No more lugging 30 lb. analyzers from lab to lab.
The small size, ease of use and license free software make Pod-A-Lyzer ideal for use in the classroom.
