Dolch Computer Systems, Inc.Light Portable Add-in Computer) Model PT (Programming Terminal) is a portable system designed for programming PLC controllers on the factory floor. Open ISA slots and optional PCMCIA-compliant PC Card slots ensure expandability required by PLC programmers for add-in functions, and network and communication interfaces. Internal components are mounted in a custom-designed monocoque alloy chassis that is, in turn, suspended inside a high-impact, shock-resistant molded outer shell. Designed for abusive treatment, these rugged terminals pass MIL transportation specs.
The terminal is configured with 8 Mbytes of DRAM and a 1-Gbyte hard drive. With two open ISA slots, it accommodates Allen-Bradley 1784-KT modules for connectivity to popular Data Highway Plus networks. A 1784-KTX or KTXD module permits connectivity to DH+, DH485, PLC-2, or PLC-3 direct-connects. The terminal runs Rockwell's 6200 or AI series of PLC programming software as well as the WinTelligent series, Panelbuilder, and Windows-based applications.
