Ziatech- an Intel company.'s Redundant Processor Architecture (RPA) for CompactPCI High Availability applications has a migration path to Windows 2000. The ZT 5083 NEBS-compliant High Availability (HA) system combines standard CompactPCI technology, redundant Intel CPUs, and Microsoft operating environment to provide 99.999% availability to a range of data and telephony applications in both carrier and high-end enterprise markets. The architecture provides an alternative to clustering and other high availability technologies. Through the duplication of Intel Architecture processor boards, Ziatech- an Intel company.'s RPA technology achieve a switch-ver time of less than 20 microseconds from a master to a standby processor.
