2.4 GHz RF Transceiver Modules

AC4424 Transceiver
AC4424 is a 2.4GHz FHSS digital transceiver that represents a breakthrough in industrial RF communication. Comprised of a complete, agency-certified radio and sophisticated RF232® protocol, AC4424 simplifies the OEM's design effort and assures successful field operation.

RF232 makes AC4424 a drop-in module. As each transceiver receives raw data, it manages over-the-air protocol to assure successful communication. Headers, data packet length and CRCs are not needed. The process is transparent to the OEM.

AC4424 transceivers operate in a point-to-point, point-to-multipoint or multipoint-to-multipoint architecture. Data transmission rates reach 1Mbps with a range of up to 500 feet (91 meters) indoors and miles line-of-sight (actual performance depends on model, antenna and environment).

AC4424s contain temperature-compensating hardware and software to adapt across the -40°C to 80°C industrial range. The technology senses ambient temperature and compensates each radio according to its unique temp profile. As a result, radios operating near -40°C will maintain communication with radios operating near 80°C.

  • Transparent protocol (data-in to data-out) eases integration for fast time-to-market.
  • FHSS for interference rejection, co-located systems, data integrity, high power output.
  • Low-power sleep mode with continuous syncronization for battery-based applications.
  • Flexible protocol enables a variety of configurations.

    900 MHz RF Transceiver Modules

    AC4790 Transceiver
High-performance AC4790 transceivers utilize AeroComm's "masterless" protocol, allowing each transceiver to communicate with any other in-range transceiver for true peer-to-peer operation.

Using field-proven 900MHz FHSS technology that requires no additional site licensing, AC4790s resist interference, enable co-located system operation, increase output power and maintain data integrity.

AC4790's protocol features a dynamic addressing scheme, which simplifies node-to-node communication. The transceiver identifies the most efficient transmission path, so OEMs can design routing sequences that optimize the RF network. This makes AC4790s ideal for a wide range of industrial applications that must rely on smooth, constant data flow.
