Microchip Technology Inc.eal-Time Architect development environment and SSX5 Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) were developed to support the high performance PIC18CXXX architecture with a small footprint OSEK-enabled run-time kernel. The Real Time Architect is the new development and deployment solution for real-time system development from Realogy. It is designed to meet the requirements of developers using resource-constrained deeply embedded target hardware, such as in automotive applications.
The PIC18CXXX architecture from Microchip targets 8- and 16-bit microcontroller applications. It is an enhanced RISC core that is upward compatible from the company's Mid-Range PIC12C6XX and PIC16CXXX core and High-End PIC17CXXX core, providing a seamless migration path of software code to higher integration.
The Real-Time Architect offers the SSX5 full function pre-emptive kernel and associated development tools to provide PICmicro users with multi-tasking capability.
