Virtual Peripheral™ software modules are implementation of specific functions as a software implementation
Virtual Peripheral™ software modules are implementation of specific functions as a software implementation. Most modern computer/telephony/wireless communication functions are first created as algorithms, then the algorithms are translated into silicon. Scenix eliminates the translation step. The function or intellectual property remains code. Virtual Peripheral modules are programmed into EEPROM onboard the Scenix SX Series high-performance controller chip.
Benefits to the designer include:
- No silicon development required
- Flexibility in design, redesign and experimentation
- Shorter design cycles
- Faster time-to-production
