American ELTEC 138 is a PC-compatible VMEbus single board computer based on the Intel 440BX PCI chip set, the reference for Celeron and Pentium II chip sets. It can handle all Eurocom 118/128 process automation and quality inspection applications. The standardized Double Eurocard format allows users to set up multiprocessor systems in standard 19-in. rack, the suited platform industrial applications. The CPU features a Celeron socket 370, supporting processors of 300 MHz or 366 MHz. It has FPU, MMU and 16-Kbyte first level cache. The second level cache, located on the Celeron chip, runs with the full CPU clock. The SBC's 64-bit memory permits configurations from 32 to 256 Mbytes and more using two SO-DIMMs with 100-MHz SDRAMs. It also supports a variety of I/O modules based on PC104, PMC or PCMCIA plug-in modules. Support for 10BaseT/100BaseTX is also present. Among the PMC modules available is a frame grabber to provide image processing capability.
