WinRT for USB Hardware Control Kit
The program allows developers to write application-level Win32 hardware control programs for their USB hardware and eliminate the need for device driver toolkits or custom device driver development.
WinRT for USB for Windows NT features:
- Development in Win32 C/C++ without the need for additional, more complex device driver toolkits
- Full support for all USB transfer types: Control, Interrupt, Bulk and Isochronous
- Developer Studio AppWizard to create the application framework
- Simple device recognition, configuration and management
- Straightforward redistribution and installation
The generic driver provides a standard interface to USB hardware to develop Win32 applications that are portable and applicable to any system running Windows 2000, Windows NT 4.0, Windows NT Embedded, Windows 98 or Windows Me.
The system includes a set of C/C++ functions and an ActiveX control, so developers are not limited to a single development environment. Developers can create their USB hardware control solutions in C, C++, Visual Basic and any other development environment capable of calling C or C++ functions or using an ActiveX control.
